Constance Marten and Gordon had successfully evaded CCTV. Their faces were plastered all across the front pages for 53 days, but a member of the public in East Sussex led to their arrest.
After being tipped off, the police officials found Marten and Gordon in Brighton without their baby who is believed to be born just days before they both have gone missing. The duo got arrested on the suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has confirmed that the pair have been charged.
The CPS authorized the Metropolitan Police to charge Constance Marten and Mark Gordon with gross negligence manslaughter,” said Barry Hughes, the chief crown prosecutor for CPS London North. Hughes has further added that the couple, “also has been charged with concealing the birth of a child and perverting course of justice.”

Constance Marten was born in early 1987 to Napier Marten and Virginie De Selliers. Constance’s both parents had a wealthy heritage, with her father having close ties to the Royal Family. She is between 35-36 years of age.
Marten got educated at a boarding school. She did her schooling at St Mary’s Shaftesbury and then went on to study Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Leeds in 2008. Then she became a researcher at the London office of Al-Jazeera before becoming a freelance photographer.
By 2014, Marten turned her hand to acting and then enrolled herself in a drama course at the East 15 drama school in Essex. In 2023 the duo made front page news when their car was found in an abandoned and ablaze position inside a road.
Marten is believed to have given birth in the back seat of a vehicle and she, Gordon, and the baby proceeded to travel up and down the country before being arrested numerous weeks later. Her net worth stands at $200,000.
