About Suriya 42
For those who are unfamiliar with the forthcoming movie, let us tell you, the Tamil language movie is reportedly Touted-to-be a Pan India period drama.
The action adventure movie is the 42nd project of Soorarai Pottru fame actor which is why the movie is temporarily titled as Suriya 42. The movie began its production shoot back in August 2022.
However, as per the reports, the makers are yet to announce the official title of the upcoming movie.
Cast and Crew
The period action drama will feature Viruman fame actor in the lead role alongside with the Bollywood’s famous actress Disha Patani.
The upcoming movie will mark Disha’s debut movie in the Tamil industry. Apart from the lead actor the movie will also feature famous personalities likes:
Yogi Babu,
Kovai Sarala,
Redin Kingsley among many more.
The action drama is written and directed by ‘Annaatthe,’ fame filmmaker Sivakumar Jayakumar, who’s popularly known as Siva alongside Adi Narayana, who had handled the screenwriting of the movie, while the dialogues are penned by Madan Karky.
The upcoming Pan India project is bankrolled by Vamsi-Pramodโs UV Creations in association with Studio Green.
Streaming Rights
Though the movie is still in making progress, its Hindi rights have already been sold. For those who are curious to know about the rights, let us tell you, the Hindi rights of the movie have been purchased by Jayantilal Gada’s Pen Studios.
As per the reports, the Studios has also acquired the satellite as well as digital and theatrical rights for the Hindi version of the film for a sum of Rs. 100 Crore. The budget of the movie is at Rs.200 crore.
Release Date
Let us remind you the upcoming project titled Suriya 42, which will be shot in 3D, has been described as “A Mighty Valiant Saga.” The movie will be released in as many as 10 languages.
The movie is set to be released in 2 parts. The first part of the movie, which is still in progress, is expected to hit cinemas in late 2023.
