Uche Nwaneri, a former player for the Jacksonville Jaguars, passed away unexpectedly on Friday in his Indiana home, according to news reports.

The 38-year-old is alleged to have died from what may have been a heart attack. Nwaneri apparently passed out at his wife’s West Lafayette house after travelling from Georgia. Around one in the morning on Friday, his wife discovered him unconscious in a bedroom and dialled 911.

Tony Khan, the Jaguars’ chief football strategy officer, tweeted, “On behalf of the Jaguars organisation and my family, our prayers are with Uche’s family & friends at this horrible time.”

Over the weekend, several football supporters and athletes paid respect to Nwaneri. Others, though, have been interested in finding out how much the legendary Jaguars player was worth before he passed away.

Net Worth

Nwaneri reportedly had a net worth of $1.5 million before his passing. He gained most of his income through participating in NFL football. He agreed to a $1,840,600 four-year contract with the Jaguars in 2007. Then, in 2010, he received $24,000,000 with a 5-year extension.

Nwaneri reportedly made around $16 million throughout his seven seasons in the NFL. He established the “Observant Lineman” YouTube channel after his playing days in football were over. The former Jaguars star’s channel, which has more than 21,400 subscribers, served as another source of money.

Footballing career and honours

Dallas, Texas native Uche Nwaneri established himself at Purdue. During his time in college, Kentucky and Texas A&M were also considering hiring him. The Jaguars chose Nwaneri in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. In his first season, he participated in the team’s playoff run but was inactive for both postseason games. He started as a regular starter for Jacksonville the following season.

He later participated in 102 games for the AFC South team. Nwaneri was the Jaguars’ starting guard, although they never made the playoffs. Nevertheless, up until he departed from the squad in 2014, the lineman remained a reliable outfielder.ย  The offensive lineman from Garland’s Naaman Forest High School, who stands 6-3 and weighs 310 pounds, spent seven seasons with the group.

After that, Nwaneri signed with the Dallas Cowboys in 2014, however, he was unable to make their roster for that year. Later that year, he decided to end his football career.
