The Secunderabad-born footballer, made his professional football debut while playing for Mohun Bagan back in 2002.
Throughout his career, he went on to play for MLS team Kansas City Wizards in 2010, as well as Sporting CP’s reserve team in the Portuguese football league back in 2012.

Sunil Chhetri made his international debut representing India back in 2005. He scored his first goal for the senior India national football team while playing against Pakistan.

During that tournament, Sunil Chhetri went past Indian legend IM Vijayan’s goal record of six goals in a single edition. He scored a record seven goals helping India in the title.
