“Such a monumental result,” Lewis Hamilton Lauds Mercedes After Solid Azerbaijan GP 2021 Qualifying Session

Despite their floundering form and failure to navigate such tracks, Mercedes saw Hamilton finish second in the Azerbaijan GP 2021 qualifying session on Saturday

The last couple of weeks threatened to unravel all the vigorous and tedious hardwork Mercedes had inducted in place across the ongoing season of Formula. After a disastrous Monaco GP, the side’s traversity continued as it underwhelmed in the practice sessions of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

And with Tito Wolff alluding to an extremely next couple of days for Mercedes, the team’s ardent supporters were left flummoxed. This look set to be a dreary weekend for the team with the side failing to impress on tracks which weren’t of the traditional and regular kind this campaign.

However, despite the odds being heavily stacked them in qualifying on Saturday, Mercedes managed to pack a punch. Lewis Hamilton showed why he’s considered a powerhouse in the arena as he managed to finish in second, more importantly slotting in ahead of title rival Max Verstappen who occupied third place.

“We moved around and made so many changes over these two days just chasing our tails and it has been so difficult but the work overnight and particularly between the sessions was amazing from the team and I am really proud of everyone for keeping positive.

While it remains to be seen if Hamilton can emulate his performance on Sunday as well given the weather forecast of rain, the Mercedes man finds himself in a healthy position ahead of the matchup.
