What exactly happened so far?
The previous chapter starts with the ongoing battle between Vlad and Lamund. Vlad knew he couldn’t match him with the skills and experience.
So, instead, he tried to overpower him with his strength since he was younger and Lamund was an old man. However, he was shocked when Lamund applied an aura to his body and strengthened himself.
He was even able to grab Vlad’s aura sword with his bare hand. Vlad let go of his sword and switched to a knife which impressed the old man a lot.
Lamund got so excited with the fight that his punch sent Vlad flying away. However, Vlad was also able to catch off guard Lamund in the end and headbutted him. But he fell unconscious while doing so.

Lamund really liked Vlad and passed him in his test. Vlad then woke up in a room and was lamenting about the old man. The swordmaster’s voice also told him that he could learn something from the old man. The use of aura to strengthen your body can be useful in the battle. It would be interesting to see how the old man is going to train Vlad in the upcoming chapters.
