What Exactly Happened so far?
The previous chapter starts with a lightheaded chat between Sir Gregory and Vlad. It was raining and they were very close to the village where they were investigating. Sir Gregory reminds them that they are now mercenaries and Sir Josefph’s support ends here.
Because this village was outside of their territory. As the trio arrives in the village, they quickly find a pub. The shop owner was a little suspicious of them. Sir Gregory answered him how they were stuck because of the rain.
Vlad’s eyes ended on a child, where the ghost knight told him that there was a curse on it. Following the curse, he ends up in a church. That’s when a priest arrives at the church to ask about Vlad. The ghost knight could tell that this was the source of the curse.
Vlad needs to save the children here in the village and he can see the cross on the priest’s bible. It was an inverted cross that represented Satan. He hasn’t seen a proper cross since he entered the village.
