During its February 2021 Nintendo Direct, the publisher first teased the third Splatoon game, which was released well over a year ago.

Date and time of the Nintendo Direct for Splatoon 3

Today, Nintendo of America revealed intentions to broadcast a Splatoon 3 stream on August 10 later this week.

The broadcast will start at 6:00 AM PT/9:00 AM ET, the publisher announced on Twitter.
Nintendo did not clarify what will be covered in the Direct, but players can anticipate “roughly 30 minutes of updates” on the multiplayer shooter.

The broadcast should provide more information about the single-player campaign, cooperative mode, plus gameplay improvements.

The Splatoon 3 Direct has already been scheduled by Nintendo on its official YouTube channels. On August 10, the American audience can access this site to watch. While this is happening, fans in Europe can anticipate seeing the upcoming presentation.

The present appears to be as good a time as any for Splatoon 3 to reclaim the limelight. After all, the multiplayer game will still be released on September 9 as scheduled.

Splatoon 3 is the first game to receive its own exclusive Switch OLED special edition model, which includes a special dock & Joy-Con controllers with artwork reminiscent of graffiti and a splatter of ink.

While the right Joy-Con is yellow fading into green and the left Joy-Con is navy blue blending into purple, the dock itself is white with a yellow splat. A string of announcements are envisaged to be made during the live stream.
