In 1883, England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales competed in the first Home Nations Championship, which served as the tournament’s first year.

There are still many scores to be resolved in this year’s edition as we prepare to begin another magnificent season, and all six nations will have their sights set on the World Cup later in 2023.

A winning team may thus receive four or five points, whereas a losing team may only receive one or two points.
