Donna Summer was married twice. First, she married Helmuth Sommer, an Austrian actor, in 1973. They become parents to one daughter named Natalia Pia Melanie “Mimi” Sommer. However, the couple got divorced in 1976.
Subsequently, she married Bruce Sudano, a well-known singer and guitarist. They become parents of two children, Brooklyn Sudano and Amanda Sudano. While Brooklyn is an actress and director, Amanda is a singer-songwriter like her mother.
She passed away on May 17, 2012, in Naples, Florida. At the time of her death, she was 63 years old.
