In the women’s singles final of the Singapore Open 2023, the top two women’s badminton players in the world will square off. To reach the championship game top-seeded Yamaguchi Akane defeated Chen Yu Fei of China 21-10, 18-21, 21-16. Meanwhile, second-seed An Se Young defeated Tai Tzu Ying by the score of 21-16, 21-14 to qualify for her eighth straight championship game of the 2023 BWF World Tour.

Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, the reigning men’s singles champion, qualified for his third consecutive Singapore Open final. Although in-form Thai ace captured the second-set to force the decider, his injured shoulder forced him to retire from the match. Meanwhile, Dane shuttler Anders Antonsen defeated third-seeded Kodai Naraoka 19-21, 21-16, 21-17 to win the other men’s semi.
