Shubman smashes 3rd century in IPL 2023
The 23-year-old star batter smashed his 3rd century of the season off just 49 balls. The impressive score included 4 fours and 8 sixes. Prior to this match, he had previously hit tons against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Aside from all these records, Gill also scored several other records as well. Gill has become the just the seventh batter to score a century in IPL playoffs this season. Moreover, he is also the youngest batter, at 23 years and 260 days to score a century in the Playoffs.
Gill is also the second Indian player to register the most number of runs in an IPL innings by scoring 129 runs off 60 balls. KL Rahul currently tops the list after scoring 132 runs in 2020 when he played against the Royal Challengers Bangalore for Punjab Kings.
