An unknown footballer is makings headlines ever since he released a rap song earlier this month. DIDE, the rapper, released his debut single ‘Thrill’ on YouTube with him now believed to be Sheyi Ojo

For those unversed, let us tell you, the official description of the song reads, “Get ready to be blown away by the powerful new music video for ‘Thrill’! Our talented artist dives deep into the emotional turmoil and struggles he keeps hidden from the fans.”

It further adds, “From behind his mysterious rose mask, he proves himself an incredible lyricist, exploring identity, inequality, and modern society in astonishing detail.”

The song has received a lot of attention, with just under 900,000 views at the time of writing.

For those who are curious to know more the rapper, let us tell you, As per his Instagram page, DIDE describes himself as a “rapper at home, footballer on the pitch.”

Football fans have been trying to figure out who DIDE is. Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson, Chelsea’s Noni Madueke, Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha, and Brentford’s Josh Dasilva have all been mentioned.

While many believed Eddie Nketiah was the man behind the mask. Fans believe they’ve figured out who DIDE is after noticing a tattoo on his arm.

DIDE is frequently seen wearing long-sleeved jackets and coats to hide any body work he has.

However, astute fans have noticed DIDE has what appears to be a diamond tattooed just above his wrist. Fans are convinced that the unknown rapper is Sheyi Ojo because of his tattoo and hair. Time will tell if Ojo is DIDE, but the theory appears to be plausible.

Let us remind you, Ojo joined Liverpool from MK Dons when he was 14 years old. His services are thought to have cost the Reds £2 million.

The Englishman spent the majority of his 11-year Liverpool career on loan. Liverpool loaned him out seven times, with stops at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Fulham, Rangers, and Millwall.

Ojo joined Cardiff City on a free transfer after Liverpool refused to renew his contract. Ojo, now 25, has appeared in 37 games for the Championship club this season, scoring once.
