Sergio Perez will be remaining at F1 for the 2022 season as well after both the parties decided a contract extension was the right way forward

Having reposed the faith Red Bull earmarked in him, Sergio Perez has been in stellar touch in the ongoing season of Formula 1. Despite this only being his maiden season with a side of the statute of Red Bull, Perez went onto earn a front row place as early as in his second Grand Prix.

And Red Bull have decided it was only prudent to stick with the pairing of Verstappen and Perez for next season as well with the side revealing that the Mexican had signed a new contract extension.

The 2022 deal will see Perez spend his 11th season in the land of F1 while Verstappen is contracted with Red Bull till 2023.

โ€œIโ€™m really happy to be continuing with a great team like Red Bull into the new era of Formula 1 and itโ€™s a great opportunity for me. Everyone starts from zero next year with the new regulations, so my only goal is to go all the way to the top with Red Bull,” Perez said as the news broke out.
