After firing Frank Lampard, Everton has hired Sean Dyche to take over as manager, know his salary at the club
Among the leading candidates were Sean Dyche, the former manager of Burnley, and Marcelo Bielsa, the former manager of Leeds United.
While Farhad Moshiri, the owner of Everton, had his heart set on Bielsa at first, Sean Dyche has now emerged as the winner to replace David Moyes.
Everton are now in last place (19th) in the Premier League table, having lost four of their past five games. In the 2017–18 season, Burnley qualified for Europe for the first time in the club’s 51-year history thanks to Dyche.
Sean Dyche salary and contract details as he is set to take over as Everton manager
Moshiri brought in Dyche after talks with Bielsa in London fell down in an effort to keep the Toffees from being relegated to the second tier for the first time since 1951.
The 51-year-old will sign a two-and-a-half-year contract, running to the end of the 2024/25 term. Dyche will also bring along his own coaching staff and Ian Woan and Steve Stone will join Dyche at Goodison after Burnley also dismissed them in April 2022. Woan was Dyche’s No2 throughout his 10 years in charge at Turf Moor and Stone was the Clarets’ U21 boss between 2018 and 2021 before he moved up their senior setup.

The reported annual salary for Dyche’s deal is about £5 million till 2025. There’s a condition in there that says Moshiri has to pay him the rest of his contract until he gets fired, even if Everton goes under.
Former Burnley coaches Ian Woan and Steve Stone will join Dyche, who was ultimately chosen over Sam Allardyce and Ralph Hasenhuttl. James Tarkowski, Michael Keane, and Dwight McNeil, all formerly of Turf Moor, will be at Goodison to greet the 51-year-old when he arrives.
Sean Dyche mettle on test after he was fired by Burnley
Dyche was fired by Burnley in April, following nine years with the club, as the club slid toward the lower divisions of the NFL. His return to the Premier League will be tested to the limit next Saturday, when he hosts league leaders Arsenal.
After flying to London on Thursday for last-minute meetings with Moshiri, Bielsa, 67, looked ready to replace the fired Frank Lampard.
The former Leeds manager, who was seeking an annual salary of £6 million, has expressed concerns about the composition of Everton’s team and the players’ ability to adjust to his high-intensity coaching approach.
So, Bielsa told Moshiri, he’d like to spend the rest of the season with Everton’s younger players as the club adjusts to his ways. Then, he intended to take over in the summer, leaving an interim manager to try to avoid relegation.
Sean Dyche has to avoid relegations at any cost
The club rejected his offer and resorted to Dyche, who must now race against the clock to sign reinforcements in time to avoid relegation.
He’ll have money thanks to the £45 million he made upon the sale of winger Anthony Gordon to Newcastle. Coventry City’s 24-year-old striker Viktor Gyokeres, who has scored 12 goals in 27 Championship games this season, could be on his way to the Sky Blues for £18 million if the deal goes through.
