Gala was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, on September 19, 2006. She is an all rounder and right hand medium bowler.

In domestic matches, Gala plays for Mumbai Women’s team. In 2022, she was selected for the u-19 women’s team for ICC World Cup 2023 which was played in the South Africa grounds.

Hurley began playing career from a very early age at her nearby cricket ground. Later, she was selected for domestic matches. After performing so well at the domestic level, in November, she got a chance to play against the New Zealand team.

She used to train with Jemimah at the Negev Cricket Academy. Hurley, a student of the St Columba School, was making her presence felt in the inter-school competitions and during the semi-final of a tournament conducted by the Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA), she took a hat-trick with the ball and then went on to score a crucial 30-plus score in quick time in the final.

All-rounder Hurley Gala, 16, gave her dad Tanmay a special gift for his 42nd birthday to inform him about her selection to the world cup team. Her father is into the business of internet broadband services and mother is a homemaker.

However, later, she was ruled out and replaced by another cricketer but at the time, she was selected by the committee which was chaired by Neetu David.

Neetu picked the team for the first U-19 women’s T20 World Cup which was held from January 14 to January 29.
