Burnley have made the difficult decision to sack manager Sean Dyche, who has been in charge at Turf Moor for nine and a half years, know his salary and other details

In October 2012, a 50-year-old tactician was named as Eddie Howe’s replacement, and during his time in Lancashire, he oversaw two successful promotions to the Premier League.

Dyche, on the other hand, has been unable to keep Burnley out of the relegation zone this season, forcing the club to look for a new manager.

First and foremost they would like to place on record their sincere appreciation to Sean and his colleagues for their successes at the club over the last decade, stated Clarets chairman Alan Pace in a statement on the club’s official website.

Sean has been a credit both on and off the field during his time at Turf Moor, valued by players, staff, supporters, and the wider football community.

However, results this season have been disappointing, and while making this choice was extremely difficult, they believe a change is required to give the club the greatest possible chance of keeping its Premier League status with eight critical games remaining.

The process of replacing Sean has commenced, and more information will be sent to supporters as soon as possible.

What Was Dyche’s Burnley Track Record?

Burnley have also parted ways with Dyche’s assistant Ian Woan, first-team coach Steve Stone, and goalie coach Billy Mercer, in addition to Dyche.

After years of great collaboration, each member of the quartet will be looking forward to returning to the dugout as soon as possible.

Dyche had been the Premier League’s longest-serving manager prior to his dismissal. He managed the Clarets for 425 games, winning 149 times, drawing 118 times, and losing 158 times.

Dyche led Burnley to their first promotion from the Championship in 2014. They won the second tier title in 2016 after sliding out of the Premier League after only one season in the top flight.

His highest finish in the five seasons since then was seventh in 2017-18, with the Clarets qualifying for the Europa League play-offs the following season.
