Today, Swiatek powered her side to a 3-0 lead by defeating Andreea Prisacariu of Romania 6-0, 6-0 to give Poland the Billie Jean King Cup finals for the first time.
Being finalists in 2021, Switzerland has already qualified for the finals automatically in 2022 while on the other hand, because of the suspension of the Russian Tennis Federation (RTF) and Belarus Tennis Federation (BTF) from ITF membership and from participation in ITF international team competitions on 1 March 2022, Australia will replace RTF (who had qualified automatically as 2021 champions) in the 2022 Finals, with both Slovakia and Belgium receiving a bye to the 2022 Finals while losing nations will compete in the Play-offs.

Billie Jean King Cup 2022 Playoffs And Finals
The playoffs of the tournament by BNP Paribas Open are organized for 11-12 November including eight ties on a home and away format that will have best-of-five matches including four singles followed by doubles. The finals are scheduled for November.
- Week commencing 11 April: Regional Group I events – Americas, Asia/Oceania, Europe/Africa.
- 15-16 April: Billie Jean King Cup Qualifiers.
- 8-13 November: Billie Jean King Cup Finals.
- 11-12 November: Billie Jean King Cup Play-offs.
