Saints Row is heavily influenced by popular culture, whether it’s the Camp Crystal Lake-like setting and Jason Vorhees mask in Saints Row 2 or The Boss taking down a live rocket at the start of Saints Row IV while Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” plays.
Given that, it comes as no surprise that the most recent instalment of the series is packed to the gills with Easter eggs.
Fans of Saints Row have found several Easter eggs and references during the past week. Some of them make references to earlier Saints Row games by using Johnny Gat graphics.
Saints Row Has a tonne of Incredible Easter Eggs That Players Are Finding
Others make mention of other Volition brands. There are, of course, a tonne of Easter eggs that refer to other games, movies, and TV episodes. Even though this post will cover a few of them, there are still many more that we didn’t cover and undoubtedly many more that have yet to be discovered.
In any case, the game has plenty of opportunities to perform the Leo pointing meme whenever you encounter a familiar object.
It is full with memes, references, and Easter eggs, but some players have been more bothered by the game’s numerous problems.
It has given rise to some hilariously popular social media posts, but it also draws attention to one of the game’s numerous problems. In its review, ComicBook gave the game a score of 3/5 and remarked that it seemed old and was plagued by bugs:
“In the end, Saints Row might not be the triumphant comeback to the series that fans were hoping for, but that does not mean it isn’t worth checking out. It features a tonne of content as well as a sandbox that is perfect for hours of co-op fun despite having a slow-moving story and subpar characters.”
