Here is all you need to know about Tottenham Hotspur manager Ryan Mason, his age, football career, EPL records and stats as manager

Ryan Mason will hold a press conference on Friday in the afternoon prior to Tottenham’s away Premier League match against Liverpool on Sunday.

After a very chaotic few days that featured their 6-1 humiliation against Newcastle United and the replacing of Cristian Stellini with Ryan Mason, Spurs responded on Thursday night against Manchester United with a point.

Tottenham’s issues have gotten worse recently as a result of issues off the pitch and poor performance, which has led to significant issues within the club.

Their confidence in their top-four challenge was weakened by Antonio Conte’s dramatic exit following their 6-1 Premier League loss at Newcastle.

Cristian Stellini, who served as his temporary successor, was later let go.

Spurs are no closer to naming a permanent replacement for Conte as contacts to past managers Mauricio Pochettino, Luis Enrique, and Julian Nagelsmann have not yielded any immediate results.

Because the former midfielder had a demanding final month of the season, chairman Daniel Levy asked first team coach Ryan Mason to fill in after Stellini left.

Who is Ryan Mason?

The majority of Mason’s career has been spent playing and coaching for Tottenham, where he made his Premier League debut in 2014. He entered the club through the academy programme.

During his first two seasons at Spurs, Pochettino frequently used Mason, but the midfielder decided to leave for Hull City before the 2016–17 campaign because he needed more security.

However, an injury cut short his time with the Tigers when he fractured his skull in January 2017. As a result, he was forced to give up football at the young age of 26.

After 53 league appearances and two goals, Mason left Spurs. While playing for the north London club, he also spent time on loans at Yeovil Town, Doncaster Rovers, Millwall, and Lorient.

He joined the Spurs coaching staff later that year. He was promoted to head coach of the U19 squad in 2019, then Conte hired him to work with the first team in November 2021.
