The legendary kiwi batsman who retired from international cricket a couple of years ago has launched his Autobiography named ‘Black and White where Ross Taylor spoke about how he was slapped by a Rajasthan Royals owner in IPL with people specualting it to be Raj Kundra

In that book, he wrote about a shocking incident in the 2011 IPL when he was playing for Rajasthan Royals. Ross Taylor said Rajasthan Royals owner slapped me after getting out on Duck. This incident took place in the game against Kings XI Punjab when Ross bagged a ball duck.

Ross Taylor in his latest autobiography revealed that one of the RR owners slapped 3-4 times after the match. After a one-sided defeat against KXIP, the team was inside the hotel pub where the owner of the team was also sitting. They were drunken and they slapped Ross 3-4 times while smiling and said “Ross we didn’t pay you Million dollars to get a duck”. Although the slaps were not hard Ross didn’t like the behavior of the owner as he is a professional cricketer who seeks professionalism in return.

Ross Bagged a 5 ball duck in the chase of 195 runs

Punjab put on a mammoth score of 195 runs in front of an average batting lineup of RR. Ross came on to bat after Shane Watson got out and the score was 3-47. Taylor struggled a lot in the first 4 deliveries and in the end, Piyush Chawla got him LBW in front of the wicket. Rajasthan Lost the game with 48 runs.

Who owned Rajasthan Royals in 2011

The RR team were having joint shares in 2011 and the Majority of the shares were in the hands of Kuki Investments Pvt ltd. Famous Bollywood Actresses husband Raj Kundra used to lead the Kuki Investment and RR. Raj Kundra was banned for life after a match-fixing incident in 2015 when RR and CSK were banned for 2 years in IPL.
