Riyad Mahrez has opened up on how Manchester City are least interested in watching matches of other teams in the Premier League
There’s a fine line between arrogance and having pride in yourself. Its one which unfortunately Riyad Mahrez doesn’t know much about with the Manchester City player way too eager to blow his team’s horn during an interview.
Riyad Mahrez Claims Manchester City Are Unperturbed By Competition
Sitting down to talk about the defending Premier League champions, Mahrez went onto claim how the club’s players never bothered watching an opposition team at play. The Algerian spoke
โThe lads at City donโt watch other teamsโ matches on TV. They donโt give a shit about them,” Mahrez went onto say when speaking about if his team kept an eye on the fixtures of other teams.
Whilst its extremely hunky dory to make such outlandish comments, its a tad tough to believe that a club which is persistently challenging for the top spot doesn’t keep an eye on its opponents. And given the immense competitiveness and close fought nature of the league this season, one can be rest assured that Pep and his boys will be glued to the television.
City failed to win their opening clash of the ongoing season, a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham ensuing which the club was quick to roar. The side has won two clashes on the bounce prior to the international break with the club most recently wiping the floor with Arsenal in a 5-0 win.
However, a lack of a striker is bound to come back to hurt the club as it strives to record a successive title win. The side failed to land both Harry Kane and Cristiano Ronaldo.
