Jake Flintโs exact cause of death hasn’t been made public as of the time of writing. On Saturday, Jake and his wife Brenda exchanged vows, and on Sunday morning, Jake apparently passed suddenly.ย
Jake was raised in Holdenville, an oilfield boomtown in South Eastern Oklahoma, where he was born in 1985. Due to the fact that his father was a music enthusiast, he grew up listening to songs by musicians like John Denver, James Taylor, and Dire Straits.ย
A “hefty dose of 90s grunge rock from Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Foo Fighters,” according to the singer’s official website. His father was diagnosed with ALS, a disease that limits muscle movement and causes other problems, and he began playing music as a result.ย
Jake’s subsequent musical period involved his discovery of composers from the Texas and Oklahoma music scenes. It included Tom Skinner, Bob Childers, Boland, Canada, McClure, and Chris Knight, among countless others. The website states that this is where Jake found himself, his musical inspiration, and began his own singing and songwriting career.ย

According to The Oklahoman, Jake served as an ambassador for the country music subgenre known as Oklahoma Red Dirt. I’m Not Okay, his debut album, was recorded by him in Mike McClure’s former Ada home studio in 2016.ย
In the years that followed, he released three more albums, including Live and Not OK at Cain’s Ballroom in 2020, Jake Flint in 2021, and Live and Socially Distanced at Mercury Lounge in 2021. Additionally, he headlined music festivals and played with his band at several locations across Texas.ย
After learning of Jake’s unexpected passing, his followers are in disbelief. As of this writing, no additional information has been made public.ย His net worth stood at $500,000.
