According to reports, Bahsid McLean of the Bronx is currently serving a 25-year sentence to life in prison for allegedly killing his mother and taking a selfie with her severed head before being apprehended. In his statement, Bahsid stated that if a person kills somebody but can’t cut up the body, they should be labelled as a coward.

What happened with Bahsid McLean after this murder incident?
Users have warned one another not to share or watch the image, which can be incredibly upsetting for some, since the viral photo of Bahsid standing with his mother’s head by his side has appeared on social media multiple times over the years. Bahsid, a Bronx resident, is accused of killing his mother and faces a sentence ranging from 25 years to life in prison. 52-year-old Tanya Byrd was a victim of the horrifying incident that took place in February 2013. In November 2016, Bahsid was found guilty. In a statement aired in court, the inmate allegedly described the details surrounding the death of his mother.
According to Bahsid, his friend William Morris allegedly murdered his mother in the Bronx apartment while also dismembering her body using a power saw. Bahsid allegedly testified during his mother’s murder trial that he had been hearing voices in his head since he was a little child. During the trial, attorney Lynn Calvacca pleaded the jury to acquit Bahsid considering his mental disease. Notably, Bahsid spent majority of his life in mental facilities and he wasn’t afraid of going into the prison.
Why was Bahsid’s wife Zarah Coombs arrested?
According to reports, Bahsid and Zarah Coombs were wed and had a son together named Zamair. When Zamair was four years old and accidently dropped an egg because he couldn’t hold it, his mother allegedly beat him to death with a broomstick. The horrifying death of Zarah’s baby, who was allegedly left for dead in a water-filled plastic storage container, led to her arrest in January 2017.
