The Club World Cup is the highest club level competition organised by FIFA, the regulating body behind world football.
Real Madrid vs Ahly SC
Ahead of the competition, Real Madrid were one of the two teams to earn a direct entry into the semi-finals rounds after winning the UEFA Champions League last season. The other team was Copa Libertadores champions Flamengo.
Meanwhile, the other teams include Auckland City, Seattle Sounders, Al Ahly, Wydad Casablanca, and Al Hilal.
Al Ahly on the other hand had to fight their way into the semi-finals. Following the fixtures draw prior to the start of the tournament, Al Ahly faced Auckland City in the first round. Al Ahly swept past Auckland City with a confident 3-0 victory to progress to the next round against Seattle Sounders.
The Egyptian outfit then secured a 1-0 win over the MLS club setting up a semi-final clash against Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, in the other semi-finals match, Flamengo will face Al Hilal their win against Wydad Casablanca via a penalty shootout.

The Al Ahly SC vs Real Madrid semi-finals match will take place on February 8, 2023 at 19:00 UTC or 1:30pm IST. The exciting clash will take place at the Complexe Sportif Moulay Abdellah stadium, Rabat city, in Morocco. It will take place one day after the encounter between Flamengo and Al Hilal.
