Anderson played in 27 games throughout two seasons for the Panthers after having a great collegiate career at Jackson State before being suspended for breaching the NFL’s substance usage policy.

Anderson played in 27 NFL games over two seasons with the Panthers, making nine starts. As defensive back he made 65 tackles and recorded one interception.

After that, he was cut by the Panthers after being reinstated, and no other organization ever gave him a chance to play. He temporarily signed with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League, but he was not added to the squad. He was remembered at Jackson State as one of their all-time greatest athletes, even though his NFL career didn’t live up to expectations.

Meanwhile, till now, there has been no cause and reason for the death reported.
Due to his violation of the league’s substance usage policy, Anderson was initially suspended for the 2002 season, but his sentence was ultimately extended through the 2003 campaign. After the 2003 season, he was reactivated, and the Panthers cut him.
Later, in 2005, he spent a brief time as a member of the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League.
After retiring from playing, Anderson held several jobs, including that of a substitute teacher and assistant football coach at Jackson’s Callaway and Murrah high schools.
On September 3, 2000, at the age of 23, Anderson made his NFL debut with the Panthers in a 20-17 loss to the Washington Redskins. Anderson played in 12 games during his rookie NFL season and made 21 tackles. In 15 games, he finished the 2001 season with 47 tackles and one career interception. He matched with Brian Urlacher for the most fumble return touchdowns and was second in the NFL in fumble return yards (97).
