He entered a guilty plea to two charges of possessing a handgun and one count of tampering with witnesses two years later. His initial release date was slated for April 17, 2024.

His real name is Christopher Noel Dorsey. He was born at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana, on 3 September 1980. Subsequently, he spent his early life in the 13th Ward’s Freret area in Uptown New Orleans.

His father was murdered in an attempted robbery when he was 12 years old. Then he started selling crack cocaine and going out with drug dealers on the street. BG began rapping while in middle school and eventually met Bryan “Birdman” Williams (also known as Baby) in a barbershop in 1993. At age 15, he quit high school and started taking heroin, but he kept his attention on music.

His career
B.G. made his debut in the music industry in 1993 when, at the age of 12, he signed with Cash Money Records, a label founded by brothers Ronald “Slim” and Bryan “Birdman” Williams. In 1997, he went on to join the Hot Boys, one of the label’s most successful musical acts. The same year, Hot Boys released their first studio album, “Get It How U Live!”
He released his first album, “Choppa City in the Ghetto,” in 1999, and the record contained the popular song “Bling Bling” before he left the group in 2001. After that, he started his own record company, Chopper City Records.
However, in 2009, his career took a downward turn when he was arrested.
