The construction of the prestigious Ram Mandir commenced on August 5, 2020, following the Bhoomi Poojan ceremony. The supervising authority for this monumental project is the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

The construction of the Ram Mandir has been a colossal undertaking, with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Tata Consultancy Engineers Ltd serving as the main constructors. The estimated budget for this grand project stands at a staggering 18,000 crore rupees. This substantial investment underscores the scale and importance attached to the construction of the Ram Mandir.

Spread across an impressive 54,700 square feet, equivalent to nearly 2.7 acres of land, the Ram Mandir is part of a larger complex that will cover approximately 70 acres. This expansive area is not only a testament to the grandeur of the project but also a reflection of its capacity to host around a million devotees at a time. The temple complex is meticulously designed to provide a spiritual and serene atmosphere for worshippers.

Ram Mandir inauguration and tickets

The inauguration ceremony of Ram Mandir promises to be a massive event in 2023 with a detailed guest list that includes 4,000 saints, 2,200 other guests, and an expected one million devotees. The guest list extends beyond religious figures to include political leaders, heads of major temples such as Kashi Vishwanath and Vaishno Devi, and representatives from religious and constitutional institutions.

Spiritual leaders like the Dalai Lama, Baba Ramdev, and Mata Amritanandamayi have also been invited, adding a spiritual dimension to the ceremony.

Noteworthy is the inclusion of several renowned Bollywood stars, adding a touch of cultural prominence to the event. Stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Rajnikanth, Arun Govil, and director Madhur Bhandarkar are among the invited guests.

The ceremony also welcomes the presence of distinguished industrialists, including Mukesh Ambani, Anil Ambani, ISRO director Nilesh Desai, and famous painter Vasudev Kamart.

To facilitate the participation of devotees in this historic event, an online ticket booking system has been set up through the official website of the Ram Mandir at srjbtkshetra.org. Devotees can book tickets for the inauguration ceremony by selecting the date and specifying the number of people attending. This streamlined process ensures that worshippers from across the country can plan their visit to witness the grand opening.

Post the inauguration, the temple will be open for devotees starting from January 23, 2024. Following the consecration ceremony, a ‘Mandal puja’ is scheduled to commence on January 24 and will continue for 48 days, adhering to rituals and traditions associated with the Ram Mandir.

At Ayodhya, the Mandala Utsava will be conducted after the Prana Pratithsha (consecration) of Lord Sri Rama, that is from January 23 to March 10. The inauguration will happen on January 22, 2024 but its time isn’t known.
