For the unversed, on Monday, BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga made serious allegations against Punjab AAP Minister Balkar Singh, accusing him of engaging in s*xual misconduct with a female job seeker during aย video call.

About AAP Minister Balkar Singh
The 59-year-old Balkar Singh is an AAP Minister from Kartarpur, Jalandhar. As per the official government site of my neta info, the son of Sh. Jagir Singh emerged victorious from Kartarpur, Jalandhar, Punjab constituency in 2022.

Singh has completed a bachelorโs degree in B.Ed from Khalsa College Of Education Amritsar. As per the official report, he has more than Rs. 4 Crore in assets.
As of now, the official site of the government displays that Balkar Singh has no criminal history.
Balkar Singh is a Retired DCP. Singh has a wife and three children, however, as of now, their names arenโt made public.
What Did BJP Leader Bagga Claim?
Bagga, National Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), shared footage on his official X/Twitter account, claiming that a 21-year-old woman approached Balkar Singh for a job.
According to Bagga, Singh, who is the local bodies minister and Kartarpur Sahib MLA, took her number and later called her, demanding she undress on the video call in exchange for job opportunities.
Bagga alleged that Singh exposed himself during the call. These accusations surface just five days before Punjabโs Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
Bagga stated that he could not share the complete footage due to its content and demanded that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann expel Balkar Singh within 24 hours.
โSack Balkar Singh within 24 hours or else you will have to face the angry consequences of people in the upcoming Punjab elections,โ Bagga warned.
This new scandal follows closely on the heels of the recent AAP MP Swati Maliwal assault case, which has already troubled the party.
Opposition Leaders Condemn CM Bhagwant Mann
Additionally, the Shiromani Akali Dal and Congress parties in Punjab have condemned CM Mann for โprotecting and shielding characterless ministers like Balkar Singh and Lal Chand Kataruchak, whose s*x tapes have emerged in the public domain.โ
For the unfamiliar, the polling for all 13 seats in Punjab and one seat in Chandigarh during the ongoing Lok Sabha elections will be held on June 1st, the last phase of the 2024 General Elections.
Congress, AAP, SAD, and BJP are contesting independently in the state. The results of these elections will be announced on June 4th.
