Thanks to barrage of killer spikes from their ace Angamuthu, Ahmedabad Defenders managed to defeat Bengaluru Torpedoes by score of 3-2, which helped them in becoming the champions of the 2023 Prime Volleyball League. For his stellar show in the final, Angamathu was recognized as the Player of the Match.

2023 Prime Volleyball League Ahmedabad Defenders vs Bengaluru Torpedoes final result, winner, score, & match events
Before Danial Moatazedi’s successive blocks proved lethal for the Torpedoes, LM Manoj and Pankaj traded points early on. Bengaluru was able to force a deciding set after winning the third and fourth sets with ease, while Ahmedabad appeared complacent after winning the opening two sets. Nonetheless, Ahmedabad maintained their composure to win the match by a score of 15–10 and claim the championship. Ultimately, Ahmedabad Defenders won the championship by score of 15-7, 15-10, 18-20, 13-15, 15-10 at the Regional Sports Centre.
Following this victory, Ahmedabad have avenged last year’s final loss to clinch their maiden championship. Throughout the tournament, Ahmedabad Defenders have performed consistently and finished as the league stage runner-up to qualify for the semi-final stage. Later, Ahmedabad’s stellar show saw them defeat Calicut Heroes in final four before closing their 2023 Prime Volleyball League campaign with final win against Bengaluru Torpedoes.

2023 Prime Volleyball League prize money & list of awards
It is confirmed that Ahmedabad Defenders will bag INR 40 Lakhs as the champion and Bengaluru Torpedoes will return home with prize money worth INR 30 Lakhs, Additionally, individual award winners including the Most Valuable Player, Best Spiker, & Best Blocker will receive INR 10 Lakhs apiece.
