PM Narendra Modi today interacted with all the participants of Toycathon 2021 through video conferencing and spoke about the country’s toy industry
The current government is focusing on all goods made in India. On 24th June 2021, a conference regarding the spread of Toyconomy in India took place by PM Narendra Modi via video calling. Apart from PM, Piyush Goyal and Sanjay Dhotre marked their presence in this video conference.
The purpose of conducting this meet was to develop more ideas and strategies regarding games. PM suggested a lot many innovative ideas with all participants. Definitely, this conference is going to increase employment opportunities in India in the coming years.
PM Modi Speaks About Toyconomy And Toy Industry At Tycathon 2021
PM Modi stated that the last few years have been possible in developing a good connection between the youth and the country. In these 5-6 years the country has gone through a lot of changes as well. Toyconomy is going to organize and raise a number of new opportunities for the people in India.
The importance of the game and toy industry was discussed in detail in the conference. This new industry named the Toyconomy will help in uplifting the Indian economy as well. The value of the toy market globally is believed to be more than 100 billion dollars. Out of the total amount India is presently only contributing 1.5 billion dollars to the world toy market.
PM Modi Stresses Upon Need For Made In India Toys And Games
India is importing more than 80% of toys from its neighboring countries, this not only increases the toy prices but also is decreasing employment opportunities. This import of toys is leading to the drainage of crores each year out of India. If India develops its own toys then the GDP of the nation will boost up within a year or two.
Also, PM Modi underlined that all the neediest segments of the society are going to be benefitted the most if Toyconomy happens in India. All small-scale artisans, tribal workers, potters, painters are soon going to be flooded with good opportunities in India.
The ideas might be taken from the virtual and online games being played in India. The government is going to fund projects that are innovative. Start-Ups will be promoted and funded by the government of India as well under this scheme.
The Prime Minister also spoke about the online gaming and eSports community in the country and asked developers to rake in fresh, innovative ideas to escalate the arena’s Indian growth.
