Helmut Marko has come to the rescue of Max Verstappen with him claiming Lewis Hamilton was going overboard with him claims of being injured in the crash at Monza
As Max Verstappen aspired to overtake Lewis Hamilton in lap 25 of the Italian Grand Prix, all he could do was manage crashing into the Mercedes. As he hit the sausage kerb with Hamilton closing any gap on the left, Verstappen found his Red Bull on top of Lewis Hamilton.
Both the drivers saw their race immediately curbed with the aftermath of the race getting ugly. Hamilton had gone onto question Verstappen’s lack of concern with him talking about how he was despondent at seeing the Red Bull man walk away from the sight of the crash without inquiring about his health.

Hamilton had also gone onto claim that he had been left with a sore neck in the aftermath of the crash as Verstappen’s rear tyre rattled into his helmet. The Mercedes halo had played a pivotal role in ensuing Hamilton wasn’t further knackered with images showing how the Brit was able to walk away unscathed from the incident owing to the safety feature.
However, Red Bull’s advisor, Dr. Helmut Marko has had enough of Hamilton’s stories. He’s gone onto claim that Mercedes are fabricating stories in a bid to build the narrative against Verstappen.
“All the stories surrounding this were brought up by Mercedes. Verstappen had already got out of his car when Hamilton tried to get his car out of the gravel.
“The medical car saw that too and drove on. And then they put on this show that poor Hamilton is suddenly injured. I don’t believe a word they say about it.,” Marko said when asked about the incident.
