Poker Masters 2023 leaderboard and points system
Players who cash in on a 2023 Poker Masters event, earns the chance to earn PGT points based on final rankings. These points will then help players in climbing up the rankings of both the Poker Masters series leaderboard and the PGT season leaderboard. Players can only win points if they finish in the money of a tournament. The final points are based on finishing position, prize money won, and tournament buy-in.
Players who earn the most PGT points by the end of the 2023 Poker Masters series will win the Poker Masters Purple Jacket. The winner will also win a $50,000 championship bonus.

Key players
Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu are the two top players to watch in the upcoming 2023 Poker Masters event. While Hellmuth is currently 11th on the PGT leaderboard, Negreanu sits in 36th place. Another key player is Chris Brewer, who has already won over $11,500,000 this year.
Meanwhile, Daniel Weinman, the 2023 WSOP Main Event champion is also another noteworthy player who is also the only player to have cashed for more money than Brewer this year. Cary Katz, who is ranked sixth on the PGT leaderboard is also another key player worth watching having already won the 2023 PokerGO Cup.
Up until now, no player has ever won the Poker Masters Purple Jacket twice. However, there are two previous winners this year, Sam Soverel (2019 winner) and Sean Winter (2022 winner), who could make a double win happen.
Other upcoming PGT events in 2023
Following the conclusion of the 2023 Poker Masters on September 26, there is a list of other upcoming events set to take place. The next upcoming event will feature the top 40 players on the PGT leaderboard competing in the 2023 PGT Championship. The winner will receive a $500,000 first-place prize while the players of the final table will also receive payouts.
