More than 100 Indian athletes are ready to decorate the Tokyo Olympics stage, PM Narendra Modi has shown support to all athletes by giving the message “Cheer4India”
23rd July 2021 will mark the beginning of the Tokyo Olympics. These Olympics are going to run till 8 August 2021. PM Narendra Modi extended wishes to all athletes who are going to become a part of the Tokyo Olympics 2020 by saying Cheer4India. He has also asked people to support Indian athletes for the upcoming mega event. The Prime Minister of India has been quite active in spreading awareness among people for the Tokyo Olympics.
Also, he has never missed any chance to urge people to cheer all sportspersons who are going to represent Indians at the coming Summer Games. Now after PM’s message Cheer4India has started trending on Twitter and all other social media platforms by Indians. They are showing their support to the athletes by using this hashtag.
PM Narendra Modi Supports Indian Contingent For Tokyo Olympics 2021
The video of PM Narendra Modi addressing Indians and athletes was shared by Sports Minister Kiren Rijiu. Kiren took the help of his Twitter to handle sharing the video and after that, the video has been reshared multiple times by BJP members and supporters. With the video Kiren also posted the official anthem of India for the Tokyo games, that is Lakshya Tera Samne Hai.

The Olympics anthem for India this time is sung by Mohit Chauhan. The sports minister mentioned that all Indians should unite together at this time to support the athletes. So far 115 athletes have qualified for the event in Tokyo, Japan. The event was scheduled for 2020 but like all other big sports events, this one also got postponed because of pandemics.
2016 Olympics were the Rio Olympics and a total of 117 athletes represented India in Rio de Janerio. The 2012 Olympics that were the London Olympics helped India is achieving its highest Olympic medal tally. At the London Olympic games of 2012 Indian athletes won a total of 6 medals. This time the athletes are prepared enough to break the record of the 2012 London Olympics.
