It will be difficult for Rohit Sharma and the Indian team selectors to find a replacement for a bowler like Bumrah who can bowl at any phase of the game. Though India has a got great amount of variety in thier pace bowling circuit but is still difficult to find someone like Bumrah.

1. Mohammad Siraj

The fast bowler hasn’t been included in the squad of the T20 World Cup nor in the standby players. He has the quality of bowling hard length and can move the ball both ways. Though the player hasn’t succeeded in the shorter format of the game he still can get a chance in the squad as BCCI has given him a call-up in the series against South Africa.

2. Mohammad Shami

Shami has the highest probability of replacing Bumrah in the squad among everyone. His experience will help the Indian bowling line up a lot. The latter has been included in the Standby players of India’s World T20 squad despite not playing a single T20 this year.

Shami has played 17 T20 internationals in which he has bagged 18 wickets at an average of 31.6. His fitness is the only question that might give some other player a chance over him.

3. Deepak Chahar

The 30-year-old speedster is constantly banging the door of BCCI selectors with his outstanding performance. BCCI did include him in the standby players in the 2021 WT20 too but didn’t give him a chance to play. Now in 2022, he has been included in the standby player once again but the probabilities are very high for playing his first ever world game this time.

Chahar has 28 wickets on his name in 22 T20I matches at an outstanding average of 22.5. The only thing that Chahar has to work on is his death bowling. He is miserable during the death overs.
