On Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs will square off in the Super Bowl. To conclude the regular season as the NFC East winners and the top seed in the NFC, they went on a 14-3 run this season, led by quarterback Jalen Hurts (which isn’t really fair to say, since they actually only lost one game with Hurts as the starter).
The Philadelphia Eagles are one of the more seasoned teams in the NFL. They have unexpectedly only advanced to three Super Bowls despite having been in the playoffs 28 times overall.

The Eagles have only won one Super Bowl in the 2017 postseason. The Philadelphia Eagles were unable to advance to the Super Bowl in 2022 as a result of their defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round.

The New England Patriots and the Eagles played in Super Bowl LII of 2018 together. The New England Patriots were defeated 41-33 by the Eagles at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota.
The Patriots still had a 33-32 lead in the game even after the Eagles scored an 11-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. The Eagles Super Bowl triumph put an end to their drought of championship success.
Despite only having won one Super Bowl (so far), the Eagles enjoyed success in the early years preceding the Super Bowl. In 1948, 1949, 1960, and 1978, they seized four NFL titles.
