An health update regarding Brazil’s Pele has come in, one which has revealed the player has been in the hospital for the last six months
Although he had only last week taken to Instagram that he was hale and hearty after reports had surfaced of him fainting, it has now come to light that Brazil’s football legend has been hospitalized for the last six days.
Health Update Provided Regarding Pele After He’s Admitted To The Hospital
The 80 year old is in Sao Paulo’s Albert Einstein Hospital as per reports in Brazil. While Pele’s health isn’t said to be anything serious at the moment, the player is undergoing routine checks as informed by his business manager, Joe Fraga.
“Full battery of tests/scans/colonoscopy/blood etc. He doesn’t do everything in one day.” Fraga said when providing a health update on the player.
Pele had written last week on Instagram, “Guys, I didn’t faint and I’m in very good health. Let them know I don’t play next Sunday!”
There have been concerns over the player’s health ever since he was seen extremely thin and weak during a documentary released on his career earlier this year, one where he was seen using a walk stick as well. Pele who has been using a wheelchair persistently was taking to the hospital in 2018 after collapsing owing to exhaustion while he had an operation in 2019 to remove his kidney stones.
Pele who has won the FIFA World Cup with Brazil on three occasions is touted as one of the finest players of all time. He’s second only to Cristiano Ronaldo when it comes to goals for country and club with him having accrued 765 goals across his illustrious career as opposed to the Portuguese’s 785.
