Yet another injury worry for Paul Pogba ruined the evening. At the hour mark, the Frenchman took the pitch in place of Fabio Miretti. He played well for ten minutes, scoring a beautiful goal that was overturned because Dusan Vlahovic was offside.

Later on, though, the 30-year-old could be seen clearly straining. In the defensive phase, Moise Kean and Arkadiusz Milik had to move back and cover for him. Max Allegri, the manager of Juventus, acknowledged Pogba’s thigh ache following the game. According to the coach’s post-game interview with Calciomercato, he said:

“We don’t know anything yet.”

He further continued:

He felt a twinge behind his thigh. Let’s see what the test results will reveal tomorrow or the day after. It’s a shame because he was playing well.”

In order to determine the severity of his most recent physical issue, the midfielder will undergo medical testing either on Monday or Tuesday. Juventus will be crossing their fingers in the hopes that it just turns out to be a minor issue because it would be a huge shame to lose the Frenchman’s services again so soon after his recent injury recovery.

Since signing with the Bianconeri in 2022 as a free agent after leaving Manchester United, Pogba has only participated in 12 games for the team. He was compelled to have surgery due to a severe knee issue that kept him out of action for a long time. This year’s preseason in the United States was completely missed by him.

The Juventus medical centre notes that the medical evaluation took place on Monday:

Pogba has already begun the recovery procedure in preparation for returning to competitive play for the club.
