The 2024 Paris Olympics Basketball Tournament is all set to begin very soon, with all the details revealed about the draw and schedule
The tournament will be held as a part of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France, featuring twelve teams in a group phase followed by knockout rounds.

2024 Paris Olympic Basketball Tournament venue
The Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Lille will host all the group phase games. Meanwhile, the Bercy Arena, aka the Accor Arena in Paris, will host the final phase of the tournament.

So far, eight teams have secured their spots for the competition, which include:
- Australia
- Canada
- France
- Germany
- Japan
- Serbia
- South Sudan
- Team USA
Aside from them, four additional teams will also qualify for the competition based on their performances during the qualifications from July 2–7 in Piraeus, Greece.

2024 Paris Olympic Basketball Tournament format
The competition will start off with the 12 teams divided into three groups of four teams each. Each group will have the four teams competing in a single round-robin format. The top two teams from each group will then advance to the quarterfinals, along with the two best third-placed teams. After the preliminary round, the teams will again be placed in groups based on their results in the quarterfinals. The organizers will hold a draw, with the teams seeded into four pots:
- Pot D for the top two-ranked teams
- Pot E for 3rd–4th ranked teams
- Pot F for 5th–6th ranked teams
- Pot G for 7th–8th ranked teams
After the draw, teams from Pot D will face off against teams from Pot G, while teams from Pot E will compete against teams from Pot F. Notably, teams from the same group will not face each other again. Moreover, if both teams from Pot D manage to advance to the semifinals, the two teams will not compete against each other.

Quarterfinals
All four quarterfinal matches will take place on August 6 at the Bercy Arena.
Semifinals
The two semifinal matches will take place at the Bercy Arena on August 8.
Finals
Ahead of the finals, the third-place game will take place at the Bercy Arena at 11:30 local time (GMT+2) on August 10. The final match of the tournament will then take place at the same venue at 21:30 local time (GMT+2).
