How Much Money P-TAL Brand Received?
The 50th episode of Shark Tank India Season 3 showcases the brand that offers copper, brass, and Kansa products. The key figure behind brand experiences a epic moment when all five Sharks offers them deal for their efforts to revive the dying copper and brass tradition, which is not only at the verge of diminishing but also quite beneficial for health.
The company received Rs. 20 lakh each from Sharks Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, Amit Jain, Namita Thapar, and Vineeta Singh at the equity rate of 0.64% per shark.
P-TAL founders initially offered 1 percent equity at a valuation of Rs 50 crore but the founders clinched a landmark deal, securing Rs.1 crore investment for 3.2 percent equity at a valuation of Rs 31.25 crore from all sharks.
After receiving the money from the Sharks, the company took to their official Instagram handle as they shared a heartwarming video expressing their thanks, support and belief in the brand.
While one artisan was excited to received a sum of Rs. 20 lakh each from aforementioned sharks, the other one was just thrilled to be able to appear on the TV for the first time.
Subsequently, in a conversation, the CEO of P-TAL, Aditya Agrawal stated that “The artisans do not have access to any OTT app or TV, so when we showed them the episode, they had pure child-like emotions on their faces when the judges appreciated their work, which was adorable to see.”
This inspired them to send a message to the sharks, accompanied by a check as a gesture of gratitude. Acting on behalf of the artisans, the brand reciprocated by returning the blessed checks along with brass cocktail glasses crafted by these artisans to the sharks upon receiving the funding.
