Unfortunately, Blizzard’s blog article states that the demo would be closed rather than open. This means that, despite signing up, not everyone will receive an invitation.

We’ll update this post whenever Blizzard has released further information.

The second Overwatch 2 beta, which will be available on PlayStation & Xbox platforms, will be released on June 28th.

We also understand that the PvP component of OW2 will be released as a completely free-to-play early access title on October 4th. There’s no word on how long the second demo will go. Although it could be similar to the first, which lasted three weeks from April 26th to May 17th.

The initial demonstration had a mixed response. Some reviews suggest it brings new life to the stale shooter. While others claim it’s entertaining but feel like Overwatch 1.5.

If the above strategy fails, there’s a considerable possibility you’ll be able to rely on another option: Twitch Drops.

During the first Beta session, Twitch Drops were used by partnered streamers to grant Beta access for a limited time. Fans can earn a spot in the Overwatch 2 Beta by tuning in for a total of four hours.

Naturally, this was a huge success, with nearly 1.5 million viewers tuning in life at the start. Blizzard may look to duplicate the same deployment with the next Beta period, although no assurance has been given yet.
