2023 Orleans Masters singles day 3 schedule, date, venue, fixtures, & second-round draw
After her defeat on home soil the previous weekend, Rio 2016 Olympic champion Carolina Marin of Spain got off to a good start in France by defeating Denmark’s Line Christophersen 21-9, 21-18 in just 34 minutes. Saina Nehwal, the bronze medalist from London 2012, lost to Turkish player Neslihan Yigit 21-16, 21-14, continuing a poor run of form. Nishimoto Kenta, the winner of the Spain Masters last week, began his quest for back-to-back victories by defeating Chia Hao Lee of Chinese Taipei 21-18, 21-11.
According to Wednesday’s results, Mithun Manjunath will compete against Taiwanese shuttler Chi Yu-jen to see who qualifies for the quarterfinal. Meanwhile, Rajawat will clash against top-seed Nishimoto with a spot in the next round at stake. Fans can get tickets here to attend the second-round games of this much anticipated event.

2023 Orléans Masters: prize money distribution
Because the Orléans Masters is a BWF Super 300 event, each singles category winner will receive $18,000 from the $240,000 total prize fund. Additionally, the semi-final losers will only receive $3,480 while the singles runner-up will receive $9,120. The first-round losers of this competition including Sai Praneeth and Saina Nehwal will return home empty-handed.
