The 19-year-old Ferrari Academy driver made a remarkable F1 debut for Ferrari, filling in for Carlos Sainz at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in March.

Bearman’s move to Haas seemed likely since the team announced at the start of the season. While his multi-year contract salary at Haas isn’t known, Bearman enters the pinnacle of motorsport with earnings on the lower end of the F1 spectrum, with an initial salary expected to lie somewhere between £250,000 and £300,000.

He has a net worth of 1 million pounds and the British driver is one of the three directors of the company OBR Management Ltd with his dad, David. The Bearman family started the company as Oliver Bearman Racing Ltd in June of 2020.

He was born on May 8, 2005 to parents dad, David Bearman, and mum, Terri Bearman and his father, uncle and grandad have also competed in motorsport to varying levels and varying levels of success. He has a younger brother named Thomas.

“It’s hard to put into words just how much this means to me,” Bearman said. “To say out loud that I will be a Formula 1 driver for Haas makes me so immensely proud.”

For the unfamiliar, Bearman joined the Ferrari Driver Academy in November 2021, following in the footsteps of current Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, who also received practice outings with Haas due to the teams’ long-standing relationship.

Oliver Bearman’s Career

In addition to his role as a reserve driver for Ferrari during the 2024 F1 season, Bearman is competing in his second Formula 2 campaign.

He secured his first win of the season in the Sprint event in Austria last weekend, adding to the four victories he claimed for Prema Racing last year.

Before advancing to the F2 grid in 2023, Bearman won the 2021 Italian F4 Championship and 2021 ADAC F4 Championship and competed in the Formula 3 Championship in 2022.

Bearman’s Teammate for 2025 Season

Bearman’s teammate for the 2025 season has yet to be confirmed. Incumbent Kevin Magnussen is fighting to remain at Haas, while Nico Hulkenberg has already agreed to drive for Sauber in 2025, before the team’s transition to Audi the following season.

Outgoing Alpine driver Esteban Ocon and Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas are among those linked to Haas.

Bearman Being Compare with Bellingham?

Sky Sports News’ Craig Slater compared Bearman to Jude Bellingham, saying, “He [Bearman] is the Jude Bellingham of Formula 1. I think we have to conclude that.”

In another update, confirmation of Bearman’s signing leaves just 6 seats unconfirmed on the 2025 grid, with Mercedes, Red Bull, Alpine, Williams, Sauber, and Haas each having one to fill.

Bearman’s impressive performance, rising from 11th on the grid to finish seventh, marked him as a future star and drew praise from fellow drivers, including seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton.
