Luck was a great quarterback at St. Ignatius Academy in Cleveland. He subsequently attended West Virginia University, where he played quarterback between 1978 to 1981. He also had 407 yards and five touchdowns on the ground, including one with a professional life of 120 yards versus Tulane.
