History of Nordic Darts Masters and All Edition Details
2021 Nordic Darts Masters
The first entry of the 2021 World Series of Darts was the Viaplay Nordic Darts Masters, which was held for the first time by the Professional Darts Corporation. The tournament, which took place on the 17th and 18th of September 2021 at the Forum Copenhagen in Copenhagen, Denmark, comprised 16 players including eight PDC players and eight regional qualifiers.
In the final, Michael van Gerwen defeated Fallon Sherrock 11–7 to win his 16th World Series tournament. Van Gerwen earned his first overall title in 2021, after a 292-day drought in which he had not won a competition. Sherrock also made history by becoming the first woman to compete in a televised PDC final.
After the 2020 tournament was postponed due to the COVID-19, this was the first World Series of Darts event conducted in Scandinavia.
Fallon Sherrock’s Legacy at Nordic Darts Masters
Fallon Sherrock made history by being the first woman to reach a televised PDC final, but she was defeated in Copenhagen by the famous Michael van Gerwen. Sherrock fought back from a 10-6 deficit in the Nordic Darts Masters semi-final to overcome Dimitri Van den Bergh 11-10 to reach the amazing milestone.
In the final, the 27-year-old seized the lead but was defeated 11-7 by her Dutch opponent. Sherrock had a 6-3 lead at one point, but Van Gerwen’s brilliance enabled him win his first title of 2021. Despite the heartbreaking loss, Fallon Sherrock is back in 2022 edition and is already through to the quarterfinals. This time, Fallon will try to go all the way and win the title to avenge her loss last year.

2022 Nordic Darts Masters Details and Prize Money
The 2022 Viaplay Nordic Darts Masters is the Professional Darts Corporation’s second staging of the tournament, and the second participation in the 2022 World Series of Darts. The tournament will be held on the 10th and 11th of June 2022 at the Forum Copenhagen in Copenhagen, Denmark, and will feature 16 players (eight ‘elite’ PDC players and eight regional qualifiers). After defeating Fallon Sherrock 11–7 in the 2021 final, Michael van Gerwen is the defending champion.
