NHL 23, EA SPORTS’ yearly ice-hockey franchise, will soon be available as the NHL season approaches, know the release date and is it cross platform

Over the past few years, the NHL video game series has been slogging through the muck. We gave the game’s version from 2022 a 6/10 rating and noted that significant modifications were required to turn the series around.

EA is aiming to achieve just that with NHL 23, proposing significant adjustments in need of a boost.
NHL 23: Release date
The release date for NHL 23 is slated for October 14, 2022. This release date is consistent with prior NHL games, which have previously been made available around the start of the regular NHL season.
Trevor Zegras of the Anaheim Ducks and Sarah Nurse of Team Canada will be the first male and female athletes to share a cover of NHL 23.
Zegras, a centre of American descent and 2021 Rookie of the Year runner-up, and Nurse, a forward for the Canadian Olympic team wherein she won gold in both 2020 and 2021, are both players.
The game’s cover offers a different aesthetic than in years past, emphasising California’s natural beauty and palm palms while also making the bold choice to depict Zegras in shorts.
The NHL is now including female hockey players in its wildly popular Hockey Ultimate Team mode for the first time.

Cross-play will be featured in NHL 23 for the first time, but there is a price. Xbox One players will be required to play with PlayStation 4 players, while Xbox Series players must play with PlayStation 5 players. Although it doesn’t quite achieve the cross-play utopia, it is a step in the right direction.
The Franchise mode in the future hockey simulation will also be updated, similar to what Madden 23 did this year. However, little specific information has been provided regarding what would change.
