Super Bowl 2025 national anthem and halftime show performers
While the NFL has not confirmed the official performers for the national anthem, they have confirmed Kendrick Lamar as the half-time headline show performer. The 17-time Grammy-winning rapper shared the news about the performance on Sunday through a YouTube video. The video showed Kendrick on a football field in front of a giant American flag while saying the words:
My name is Kendrick Lamar, and I’ll be performing at Super Bowl LIX. Will you be pulling up? I hope so.”

Kendrick Lamar Duckworth is a Grammy award-winning rapper and songwriter who was born on June 17, 1987, in Compton, California, United States. He is currently 37-years-old, and he is regarded as one of the most influential hip hop artists of his generation. Back in 2022, The New York Times named him as the “greatest rapper of his generation”.
Back in 2018, he was also the first rapper and non-classical or jazz musician to ever win a Pulitzer Prize for music. Kendrick Lamar previously performed during the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show.
