Indian professional boxer Neeraj Goyat is all set to face off against Brazilian Whindersson Nunes as part of the undercard for the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul showdown, check out more details below about the fight including its date and where to watch

The main event will feature an eight-round heavyweight clash between Jake Paul and the legendary boxer Mike Tyson.

Besides the Tyson vs Paul fight, there will be a co-main event featuring a 10-round fight between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano for the undisputed super lightweight world title.

Ahead of the upcoming event, Most Valuable Promotions co-founders Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul made a joint statement, stating:

By featuring two more international stars in Neeraj Goyat and Whindersson Nunes, alongside the rest of our historic card, we’re strategically supplementing Paul vs. Tyson and Taylor vs. Serrano 2 to drive patriotic engagement with the event from two of the biggest countries in the world.”

Neeraj Goyat vs Whindersson Nunes fight date and details

The upcoming boxing event will take place on July 20, 2024, in Arlington, Texas. It will be a six-round super middleweight fight. Neeraj is a three-time WBC Asia titleholder (2015, 2016, and 2017) and was named “Honorary Boxer of the Year” by WBC Asia back in 2017. He will be making his debut for Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) in the upcoming fight against Nunes.

The bout between Neeraj Goyat and Whindersson Nunes is a professional six-round super middleweight fight at 165 lbs and is part of an action-packed undercard, which also features Sylve versus Schofield and Chavez Jr. versus Till.

The fight is scheduled for Saturday, July 20, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington but the time has not been announced yet. It can be streamed on Netflix.

During a press release, Goyat stated:

I couldn’t be more excited to make my MVP debut on what promises to be the biggest boxing event in history.”

He further added:

Meanwhile, Nunes, known as Lil Whind, is a YouTuber, comedian, actor, and musician, besides being a boxer. He has over 100 million followers across various social platforms, including 59.5 million on Instagram and 44.6 million on YouTube. Nunes is training under Diego Rodrigues and Caio Franco for the upcoming fight, alongside Olympic medalist Esquiva Falcao.

During a press release, he stated:

I grew up watching big names in boxing, so having the opportunity to be part of this card and challenge myself in this sport is an honor.”
