NASCAR YellaWood 500 Cup Series 2021 is the next stop in the NASCAR Cup Series which will bring us at the Talladega Superspeedway. The previous NASCAR Cup Series race which was held at the Las Vega Motor Speedway was won by Denny Hamlin. The YellaWood 500 will be the second of three races in the knockout round of 12.

Come race day the winner of South Point 400, Denny Hamlin will be starting the race from number one position in the grid. The188 lap race will see the drivers cover roughly 500.08 miles or 804 km. The race is an historic one as it first took place back in 1969 and has been continued ever since.

The YellaWood 500 has also been the most competitive races in the calendar year on average. The race has seen the most lead changes out of any track in the NASCAR Cup Series. Coming to the business end of the season it is very important for all the drivers to do well in this race. The drivers will look to enter the knockout round of 8 by passing through the current round of 12.

Denny Hamlin is the defending winner of the race as he won the YellaWood 500 last year. He will also start from the number one spot on the grid as mentioned earlier which will give him a extra boost.
