At the core of the story is Seo Ji-hwan, a guy troubled by his turbulent past as a mobster. Driven by a strong desire for atonement and a yearning for fresh starts, Ji-hwan sets off on a journey throughout Korea, determined to escape the confines of his past existence. He sets out to demolish criminal organisations and provide a lifeline to ex-convicts looking for a second chance with unyielding resolve.
During his voyage of self-discovery, Ji-hwan happens to cross paths with Go Eun-ha, a childhood friend who has grown into a well-liked children’s content developer. Eun-ha, who is regarded as a “mini sister” by her devoted youthful fan base, takes inspiration for her cheerful and loving films from the happy times she spent with Ji-hwan.
Ji-hwan and Eun-ha’s friendship is still unshakable even after years have gone by and their paths have diverged greatly. Ji-hwan is seen by Eun-ha as more than just a former gangster. Ji-hwan finds comfort and hope from Eun-ha in the midst of the darkness of his past, thanks to her unyielding love and unshakeable faith in his innate goodness.
Ji-hwan finds himself reliving the purity and innocence of their shared youth as well as facing the demons of his past when their journey intersects.
